GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "GBM" or "the Company") is a wholly Ghanaian-owned construction firm registered under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), with its headquarters in Accra, Ghana.
The Company is duly registered to manufacture laboratory-engineered ready-mix concrete (RMC), prefabricated concrete, and other concrete products for construction purposes. GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd is also authorized to undertake small, medium, and large-scale civil construction projects, operating both as a main contractor and subcontractor.
GBM specializes in a wide range of civil engineering and construction works, including real estate development, road construction, storm drainage systems, and gutter works. The Company delivers projects for a diverse clientele, ranging from private individual developments to large government-funded and quasi-public infrastructure projects. Our flexible and efficient project management systems ensure successful project delivery regardless of project size, scope, or complexity.

GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd holds an A2B2 Road Contractors Classification issued by the Ministry of Roads and Highways, qualifying the Company to undertake major road and civil works across Ghana.

The Company was founded by Mr. Simon K. A. Ayivi, an accomplished entrepreneur, investor, and construction professional who previously co-founded VPL Concrete Ltd in 2020.
As Co-Founder, Managing Director, and Vision Driver of VPL Concrete Ltd, Mr. Ayivi assembled a team of highly competent engineers and quality control experts in civil construction and concrete manufacturing, delivering consistently outstanding results for clients.
Under his leadership, several notable construction and ready-mix concrete projects were successfully executed at VPL Concrete Ltd.
GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd has been established on the foundation of this proven experience and other related industry projects. Simon Komla Agbenyegah Ayivi is the Founder and Executive Chairman of GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd. As the visionary behind the Company, he brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, corporate governance, and organizational development, which continues to drive the growth and success of GBM.
Mr. Ayivi has a strong professional background in investment banking, with over two decades of experience before transitioning into the construction and infrastructure sector.
In 2011, he co-founded Axis Pensions Group Ltd, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he also served as a regulator-licensed trustee for three major pension schemes. He has served on the boards of Axis Pensions Group Ltd, Axis Pension Administration Services Ltd, Axis Pension Trust Ltd (Ghana), and Axis Pensions Rwanda.
Previously, he worked as an Asset Manager with Databank Asset Management Services Ltd. His international experience includes working in derivatives settlements with Morgan Stanley Inc., Baltimore, USA, and Morgan Stanley UK, Glasgow, Scotland.
In 2020, he co-founded VPL Concrete Ltd, serving as Managing Director and Board Member until January 2026.
Mr. Ayivi currently serves as Chairman, Apakan Securities Ltd and Chairman of EYS Ghana Ltd. He is also Co-Founder & board member of Afrix Paycoin Ltd. In 2019 he founded the Spero Foundation, an educational support charity based in Accra, where he serves as Chairman.

Ing. Solomon Gyebi Boateng is the Managing Director of GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd. He is a trained and professional Civil Engineer. He brings on board over two decades of experience in design and construction of civil engineering projects, design and production of higher grades Ready Mix & Precast concrete product, and project management across Ghana's construction industry.
Prior to joining GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd, Ing. Boateng served as the General Manager of VPL Concrete Ltd from January 2021 to January 2026. During his tenure, he was responsible for overseeing all technical operations of the ready-mix concrete and concrete products manufacturing business, ensuring quality production standards, operational efficiency, and effective project support services.
Before joining VPL Concrete Ltd, he served as General Manager of GEODOMI Concrete Products Ltd. His earlier career experience includes working as Site and Technical Supervisor at VAMSET Ltd and as Site and Projects Manager at REIME Ghana Ltd. He also held key operational leadership roles as Factory and Operations Manager at African Concrete Products (ACP) Ltd and as General and Production Manager at Atlantic Quarry & Concrete Ltd where he led to successfully restructure, developed and implemented systems and structures for the existing operations to achieve efficiency over a short period of time.
Ing. Boateng's accomplished technical and management skills were enhanced through training, seminars, and workshops he has undertaken over the years of his professional practice. Ing. Paul Kwabena Asiedu is an accomplished mechanical engineer, technology entrepreneur, and innovation ecosystem leader with over 15 years of experience spanning engineering project delivery, renewable energy systems, digital infrastructure, and agritech innovation across West Africa. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd, where he provides strategic oversight on engineering, technology integration, sustainability, and operational risk management.
Ing. Asiedu is also the Technical Director of ONEG Engineering Services Ltd, a multi-disciplinary engineering and technology solutions company operating across Ghana and selected international markets.
He began his professional career at Tema Oil Refinery during his National Service, where he supported procurement operations and developed database-driven systems for order tracking and document management, improving operational efficiency and record accuracy. He later joined Atlantis Structures Ltd as an Engineering Supervisor and progressed to Assistant Installations Manager, leading installation and engineering execution on major industrial projects across Ghana and Guinea Conakry.
He subsequently served as Projects Engineer at Homble Energy Services, delivering engineering solutions across Ghana and Nigeria, with exposure to energy infrastructure and technical project coordination.
In December 2011, Ing. Asiedu founded ONEG Engineering Services Ltd and continues to serve as Director. Under his leadership, ONEG has evolved into a diversified technical solutions provider offering Managed IT Services, Greenhouse Technology Solutions, and Solar Power Systems. The company has expanded operations across Ghana, Togo, Cรดte d'Ivoire, Kenya, and China, delivering innovative, technology-driven solutions across multiple sectors.
Ing. Asiedu is also Co-founder of Techshelta Company Ltd, an agribusiness enterprise focused on greenhouse farming optimization and precision agriculture solutions. His leadership contributed to the company receiving industry recognition and awards from Kosmos Energy, the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), and Greentech.
Earlier in his career, he served as Systems Administrator at the Assemblies of God Headquarters, where he established and managed the institution's IT department, strengthening digital infrastructure and enterprise systems management.
Beyond his corporate roles, Ing. Asiedu plays an active role in entrepreneurship and innovation development across Ghana. He currently serves as Director of the PQI Innovation Hub Network, an Accents and Art initiative funded by the Mastercard Foundation. In this role, he oversees a multi-city innovation ecosystem spanning Accra, Ho, Kumasi, and Tamale.
Through the PQI Innovation Hub, he currently supports 100+ businesses through structured entrepreneurship development programs, including: starter entrepreneurship programs supporting early-stage solopreneurs; seed funding programs providing early capital to growth-stage startups; innovation training built on Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies; and growth capital pathways for high-potential startups.

Ing. Abdulai Mahama serves as Engineering Consultant to GBM Plant & Constructions Ltd. He is a registered Civil Engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in civil and building construction. He possesses extensive expertise in materials and soil engineering, earthworks, drainage design, and project management for roads, bridges, and building structures. Over the years, Ing. Mahama has successfully managed and delivered numerous projects across Ghana, demonstrating strong technical competence, managerial skill, and leadership.
He has been a member in good standing of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) since 2016 and of the Institution of Engineering & Technology, Ghana since 2014.
Ing. In addition to his consultancy role at GBM, Ing. Mahama currently serves as Senior Project Manager at Maripoma Enterprise Limited, where he leads technical meetings, coordinates engineers and contractors, ensures project timelines, budgets, and safety compliance, and manages community concerns. Since 2015, he has also served as Project Director / Engineering at MATRAS Engineering Services Ltd, overseeing construction progress and quality, managing project finances and risks, providing leadership and strategic guidance, and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
Previously, he served as Materials / Soils Engineer at Comptran Engineering & Planning Associates, supervising all material testing and quality control, managing earthworks, and overseeing the construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and U-drains. He has also led soil investigations and prepared reports for multiple institutional, commercial, and industrial projects, including Accra Crystal-ROK Factory, DTI Design & Technology Institute, Accra Lions Stadium, and several senior high school blocks across Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions.
Ing. Mahama's combination of technical expertise, hands-on project management experience, and leadership in civil engineering continues to make him a valuable asset in delivering high-quality infrastructure and building solutions.
